Why Trustees are involved

All of the Trustees are either British or Lithuanian and have links with the other country – see List of Trustees and backgrounds. We initially came together through the British-Lithuanian Society (BLS) and felt that there was more useful work to be done beyond increasing the knowledge of Lithuania in the UK. We decided that the establishment of a charity with a distinct name would set that work apart from the day-to-day work of the BLS, as well as encouraging donors to give towards a clearly defined cause. A group of BLS Members agreed to create and run the new charity as Trustees. Most of the Trustees live in the UK with one in Vilnius. We are presently seeking another Lithuanian based Trustee. All Trustees give their time freely and we are very careful to make our slim financial resources extend as far as possible.

We all find our efforts on behalf of TTT very rewarding emotionally.
